Nice_blue_pills

If you are on a regular medication you will be issued with a repeat prescription slip.  This can be handed into the Medical Centre, Boots Chemists at Fremington, Boots Roundswell, Boots Barnstaple, Sainsbury's pharmacy or Tesco's pharmacy at Taw View; please re-order by ticking each item required on the right hand slip of your prescription and also indicating from where you would like to pick up the prescription.

You may fax your repeat prescription slip to us on 01271 321006.

Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form.

Prescriptions will be available from the surgery within 2 working days or will arrive at the pharmacy within 3 working days.

Telephone requests for medications are not accepted as these may result in errors.

The doctor will carry out a regular review of your medication and you may be asked to see your doctor before further prescriptions are issued.

Prescribing

As a Practice we have tried to rationalize our prescribing by the use of a formulary. This means that only certain drugs are prescribed in this Practice. This allows the Doctors to have far more experience in the uses and problems associated with a limited number of drugs.

It may be that at your new patient medical your drug therapy will be reviewed and altered to bring you in line with the Practice Prescribing Policy. Any change of medication does involve a period of uncertainty, through which you will be supported.
